CHRISTIAN ETHICS TODAY November,
2001 Provide
article in Microsoft Word, Normal, Times New Roman. Title Of Article[18
Point; Bold, Centered] By
Author [Italics, 14 Point] Name of School/Church, etc. [12 Point](Please
indicate the title you prefer) Tabs
set at .2 in Format.
Margins: 1” at top and bottom, 1.25
on left/right (set in File/Page Set Up)
Text of article is written in 12
Point, single space, and put Book Titles in Italics. Use
endnotes rather than footnotes---keep them to a minimum and use the following
form, but put it by clicking: Insert/Footnote/Endnote/ and indicating Arabic
numbering. 1
Trull, Joe E., Walking in the Way: An Introduction to Christian Ethics (Nashville:
Broadman & Holman, 1997), 23. NOTE: Never use page or p., just the number. For
Style Form, we like to follow Turabian 5th Edit., but are not a slave
to it. Note, however, that ONLY ONE SPACE should ever be used (between words,
after colons, periods, etc. and NO SPACE at end of paragraph), and PLEASE
DO NOT use a Hard Right (“Enter”) at the end of sentence---this confuses the
setup later. Please
use non-justified margins and put the text all the way across the page as I am
doing now. The person who does the layout takes our copy and converts it to the
two-column format that you read in the Journal.
The Journal does provide a modest stipend for
articles, sermons, reviews, and poetry. We wish we could recompense your hard
work more justly, but as a periodical offered “free of charge to all who ask,”
our funds are limited. Thank you for helping us provide high quality material to
our readers.
